White Party

One rule for the guests, white, and one rule for us: everything in the room is white until the lighting says otherwise. It is the simplest format in the catalogue to brief your people on and the easiest to photograph.

What is in the package

  • white scenography: 6 drapes 4 m high, 20 white table pieces, a 3 x 2.4 m white backdrop
  • 14 LED points with one agreed accent colour and a white wash
  • a DJ for 5 hours, 2 x 1000 W sound, a house and classics programme
  • a white props box at the door for guests who missed the dress code: 40 pieces
  • a photo point 2.4 x 2.4 m with a white frame and 10 props
  • a host who opens the evening and closes it

What the venue needs to have

  • a hall of at least 130 m2, light-coloured walls preferred
  • two 16 A circuits
  • a cloakroom, because a white dress code means coats
  • clean floors, or permission to lay a covering

Adaptable without changing the price: The accent colour, the number of drapes, the music programme, how strictly the dress code is enforced at the door.

How these evenings run

The shape of a Dancefloor programme.

A host runs the structure and the crew runs the activities. Whichever format you choose from this category, the four stages below are the same.

  1. The first hour runs at conversation volume while guests arrive and find the bar and the photo point.

  2. The host opens the floor with one short announcement, then the music moves into its main block.

  3. A short interval mid-evening for speeches, a group photograph or a cake.

  4. The closing block drops the tempo and the lighting, so the end of the night is a decision, not a surprise.

Venue

What a venue needs for this category.

Individual formats add their own requirements, listed with each one above. These four apply across Dancefloor.

  • a hall of at least 140 m2 with a clear dance area of 40 m2
  • two 16 A circuits for sound and lighting, one 10 A for the photo point
  • a smoke or haze policy agreed with the venue in writing
  • step-free access for flight cases, or a goods lift at least 1.2 x 1.6 m

Set-up takes up to 3 hours before the event, pack-down 1-2 hours after. Neither counts towards the programme hours.

Who these programmes are for

Adult guests, on site, nothing to win.

Every programme in this category is written and run for adult guests, in a venue you choose. Scoring exists in some formats; the prize is a printed certificate and the host reading out the result. There are no stakes, no cash prizes and nothing exchangeable for money, goods or vouchers. Where a programme includes casino-style tables, participation in those activities is for guests aged 20+ and the chips are props that are never sold or topped up.

Our responsible entertainment rules

Questions

Questions about Dancefloor.

How loud is it?

Conversation volume for the first hour, then the main block at a level agreed with your venue. We ask for the venue noise curfew in writing and programme the closing block to come down in stages rather than stop dead.

Can we give the DJ a list?

Yes. We ask for a short list of what you want and, more usefully, what you do not want. The programme is wired in blocks in advance and the DJ adjusts inside those blocks on the night.

Do you need haze or smoke?

Only where it is allowed. Haze makes the lighting read better but it needs a written policy from the venue and sometimes detector isolation. Every Dancefloor format also works without it.

Ask about a date in Dancefloor.

An enquiry does not reserve a date. We check whether we are free, agree the package and send it to you in writing.
