Our main programme
Three tables, five hours, one run sheet.
Our main programme: a room laid out as a themed games floor with three tables, hosts who teach the rules at the table, and scenography that turns an ordinary hall into the room your guests expected. The chips are props, they are not sold, not topped up and not exchanged for anything. What your company buys is the organisation of an evening, not a game.
What stands in the room
- a roulette table 2.4 x 1.2 m, a blackjack table 1.8 m and a poker table 2.1 m, all with felt tops and rail lighting
- three host-croupiers in black tie for the full 5 hours, one per table, each explaining the rules in under two minutes
- a card and chip set per table: 6 decks, 300 symbolic chips without any denomination printed on them
- a floor host with two radio microphones who opens the evening and closes it
- scenography: a 3 x 2.4 m backdrop wall, 6 table-edge decorations, a 6 m runner, 12 table numbers
- 14 LED light points, 4 of them on the backdrop, dimmable from one desk
No slot machines and no pokies stand in this room: all three tables are run by a host, with symbolic chips and nothing to pay out. Full package, venue requirements and the hour-by-hour programme are on the dedicated page.

What the chips are, and what they are not.
Our casino-style programmes are entertainment held in a room, run by hosts who teach the rules. They are not gambling, and we would rather be boringly clear about it than let anyone assume otherwise.
-
Chips are props
No denomination is printed on them. They are not sold, they cannot be bought or topped up during the evening, and they are never exchanged for money, goods, vouchers or valuable prizes.
-
No stakes, no winnings
Nobody puts money or belongings on the table and nothing of value is won. The result of an activity gives a guest no financial benefit, so the programme is not gambling within the meaning of the Gambling Act 2003 and needs no gambling licence.
-
On site, adults only, offline
Everything happens in a venue you choose, in front of the people who are there. Participation in casino-style activities is for guests aged 20+. There is no online casino, no app and no play over the internet of any kind.
Five categories
Five ways to spend the same five hours.
Every programme in the catalogue sits in one of these five. Each category page lists its formats in full: what is in the package, how many guests, how many hours and the price.
-
Black Tie
Dressed-up evenings: casino-style tables, galas, screen glamour and masks.
-
Dancefloor
Music-led nights: disco, retro, white, neon and near-future.
-
Puzzle Room
Evenings that need thinking: stations, quizzes, cases and team circuits.
-
Curtain Call
Staged evenings: illusion, circus craft, fantasy and storybook rooms.
-
Open Ground
Daytime and seasonal programmes outdoors or in a large hall.
Responsibilities
Ours to bring, yours to book.
The split is the same for every format in the catalogue, and it is in the contract rather than in a conversation.
In the price
- the programme, crew and equipment listed with the format
- planning, the run sheet and one coordinator on site
- transport anywhere in New Zealand
- set-up and pack-down outside programme hours
- all taxes payable, GST included
You organise
- the venue itself, with its furniture, power and bathrooms
- catering, bar service and drinks
- accommodation for your guests
- gifts or giveaways for guests
- a photographer or videographer
Set-up takes up to 3 hours before the event, pack-down 1-2 hours after. Neither counts towards the programme hours.
Atmosphere
The room changes before the guests arrive.
Fourteen light points instead of the ceiling fluorescents. A backdrop wall where there was a fire door. A photo point with a frame, props and somebody looking after it, so the queue moves. None of it is decided on the night: the lighting plan, the layout and the photo point position are agreed with you and printed on the run sheet.
-
Symbolic chips, no denomination, never sold. -
Table dressing, six pieces per table. -
Photo point, 2.4 x 2.4 m, staffed. -
One desk for sound and light, one operator.
How your evening is shaped
Hour by hour, from the doors to the last call.
Every format follows the same four stages. What changes is what happens inside them.
-
Welcome and the tables explained
Guests arrive to a staffed welcome point, music at conversation volume and a host who explains in two minutes what is in the room and when it happens.
-
Rotation, conversation, music
Activities open. Hosts stay at their tables or stations for the whole programme, so a guest who arrives late is never the one person who missed the rules.
-
Your half hour
A window with the music down and the lighting up, for speeches, an award or an announcement. It sits between the activity blocks instead of cutting through one.
-
The finish, announced
The host closes the programme, reads out the result where there is scoring, and the last stretch runs on music alone so the end of the evening is not a surprise.
Enquiry
Tell us the date and the room.
Six facts are enough to get a real answer: the date, the town, the number of adults, the format you like, your budget range and anything the venue has already told you. We reply on working days, usually within one working day.
Prices
One price for the whole event, not per head.
Every figure below is the final price for the package described, for the guest limit stated, with GST included. You do not multiply it by the number of people coming, and a smaller group does not change it.
| Programme | Guests | Hours | Price per event |
|---|---|---|---|
| The Casino-Style Room | up to 100 | 5 | NZ$11,400 |
| Company Gala | up to 100 | 5 | NZ$10,800 |

| Teamwork Circuit | up to 100 | 4 | NZ$8,200 |

Not only the tables

Festival Yard
A one-day company festival: stage, four zones, a live set and a crew of ten.
How we prepare it
From the first call to the last crate.
Four steps, one contact person. You deal with the same coordinator from the first email to pack-down, and that name is on the contract.
-
Talk and plan
One call or one email thread. We ask for the date, the town, the number of adults and what the venue has told you, then propose a format and send the package and the price in writing.
-
Prepare the room and the programme
We confirm the venue requirements with you in writing, build the run sheet with your fixed points in it, agree the music and lighting, and tell your venue what we need on the day.
-
The event itself
The crew arrives up to 3 hours early, builds and tests everything, and one coordinator stays on site for the whole programme as your single point of contact.
-
Pack-down
We clear the room 1 to 2 hours after the programme ends and leave the venue as we found it. Anything you supplied for branding goes back to you the same evening.

Questions
Questions we get before the first meeting.
What is a casino-style evening actually based on?
It is a themed entertainment programme held on site, at a venue you choose. Our host-croupiers set up roulette, blackjack and poker tables and teach the rules at the table. The chips are props: they are not sold, they cannot be bought or topped up, and they are not exchanged for money, goods, vouchers or valuable prizes. There are no stakes, no cash winnings, no slots and no online play of any kind. Participation is for guests aged 20 and over. What your company pays for is the organisation of an evening, not a game.
How many guests and how many hours?
Our standard programme runs for 5 hours for up to 100 guests. Some formats are written for smaller groups, 40 or 80 people, and run for 4 hours; the limit and the length are stated on every format in the catalogue. Set-up takes up to 3 hours before the programme and pack-down 1 to 2 hours after, and neither of those counts towards the programme hours.
Where do you work?
Anywhere in New Zealand. We are based in Dunedin, transport within the country is already in the price, and the price of a package is the same wherever the event happens. We do not supply the venue: you book the hall, the grounds or the marquee, and we tell you in writing what that venue has to provide in terms of floor area, power, furniture and access.
What is in the price and what is not?
The price covers the programme, the crew and the equipment listed with your format, the planning and run sheet, one coordinator on site, transport anywhere in New Zealand, set-up and pack-down, and all taxes payable including GST. It does not cover the venue itself with its furniture, power and bathrooms, catering, bar service and drinks, accommodation, gifts for guests or a photographer. The full split is on the pricing page.
How is a date confirmed?
Sending an enquiry does not reserve a date. We check whether the date is free, agree the package and the venue conditions with you, and then send a written confirmation and a contract. The date is held once that is signed and the deposit of 20 to 40 per cent has been paid; the balance falls due 5 to 10 days before the event.
